16500 at New Brunswick, NJ is of a stream-styled (or betterment) heavyweight Pullman sleeping car. In the late 1930's the Pennsylvania, along with the B&O and other railroads modified some of their existing heavyweight sleeping cars to make them appear more modern so they would fit-in with the new lightweight cars that were being delivered. When rebuilt, it was painted in the Fleet of Modernism scheme that was used briefly by the PRR before WWII. This particular car is extremely rare.
