BE UPGRAQDED OR REPLACED WITH NEW. THIS UNIT RECEIVED A NEW NOSE.
SOME WILL HAVE NOSES CHOPPED. ON THIS DATE, 4104, 2778 &
2818 WERE BEING REBUILT IN THE WRECK SHOP. |

THE SHELL WAS SANDBLASTED TO BARE METAL BEFORE PAINTING SO THE
SANTE FE INFO IS NO LONGER VISABLE. |

ORIGINALLY, THEY WERE TO HAVE CABS PUT ON THEM AND SHIPPED TO
EGYPT. THAT DEAL FELL THRU BECAUSE OF A LACK OF FUNDS. |

TRAIN AT THE ALTOONA RR STATION. PHOTO IS FACING EAST. THE 1ST
BRIDGE IS THE NEW ADA ACCESSIBLE BRIDGE THAT CONNECTS THE MUSEUM
TO THE TRAIN STATION. THE SECOND BRIDGE IS THE OLDER PPEDESTRIAN
BRIDGE AND THE STEEL BRIDGE IS FOR AUTO TRAFFIC INTO DOWNTOWN
ALTOONA. THIS IS A TOWN THAT LOVES RAILFANS. |
